This Japanese Maple is beautiful year-round as it changes color each season. I’m not sure if the new leaves are hiding the moss and lichen that was all over the branches in winter, or if it falls off as the leaves grow and push it away.

I’ve never seen an aloe vera flower before, so of course I looked up images on Google and this is it! I put the plant on the floor to get this shot because it’s so tall now.

Mt. Hood looked fabulous on the drive home, but had begun to darken by the time I reached this viewpoint. What a great excuse to play in Photoshop! This photo was leveled, grayscaled, and filtered. For some reason, I’m drawn to this grainy look.
